Brighter Than Ever: Fronius Australia Unveils Its Revamped Home Base

Our Melbourne headquarters has always been a hive of activity, a place where ideas bounce across departments and the coffee machine never really gets a break. Over the years, we’ve expanded, evolved and supported thousands of Australian households on their solar journey.

As a result, the time finally felt right to give our home base the same level of care and modernisation that we put into our products. This renovation isn’t just a fresh coat of paint; it’s a clear commitment to the future and a reminder that Fronius is here for the long run.

A Journey That Started Long Before You Might Think

Our story in Australia goes back further than many people realise. Fronius opened its Australian office in Melbourne in late 2010, that means we’ve been operating for around 16 years.

Furthermore, the journey between then and now has been anything but quiet. A lot has happened over the years, from major product launches to an expanding team, and even the rise of solar as a mainstream energy solution in Australian homes.

A Growing Team and a Growing Community

From the early days, our Melbourne base quickly became more than just an office. Instead, it evolved into a hub of collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose. Many of the wonderful people who have walked through our doors over the years are still part of our team today, including our Managing Director, Roland Resch, Head of Solutions, Rod Dewar and People & Culture Linda Stellato (the heart of our staff wellbeing). Others have remained connected as part of what we call our “Friends & Family of Fronius.” Additionally, we’ve steadily grown our staff across all areas of the business, reflecting the increasing demand for quality solar solutions and reliable local support.

Today, our Tullamarine office brings together a diverse range of teams — including IT, Operations, Sales, Technical Support, Marketing, Warehouse, Repair Centre, Distribution, Solutions and HR — all under one roof. This close collaboration allows Fronius Australia to work seamlessly across departments, respond faster to customer and installer needs, and ensure smooth end‑to‑end support.

In addition to our main office in Melbourne, we opened our Perth office in 2019, which is now home to 12 team members. In 2025, we relocated to a new location, an important step in strengthening our presence in Western Australia and providing the team with a modern, purpose‑built environment that supports collaboration and close connection with our customers and partners.

A Space That Reflects Who We Are

Just like our customers’ solar systems, even the most reliable and well‑loved things eventually need a refresh. For example, the Fronius SNAPInverter — still running reliably on countless Aussie homes — has long shown how smart design and durability can go hand‑in‑hand. However, even great technologies evolve over time, and the same is true for the spaces we work in. That’s why, just as our product range has moved forward with new innovations, our office needed a modern update too.

Our office renovation is more than a makeover; it symbolises our commitment to the long term. Additionally, it reflects our ongoing innovation, our investment in local jobs, and our belief in the future of solar energy in Australia. As a result, the new space gives our team an environment that supports collaboration and the high‑quality service our customers expect from us.

So yes, the walls have had a fresh coat of paint, the workspaces have been modernised and the rooms feel brighter. But more importantly, the renovation represents our next chapter. A chapter rooted in innovation, reliability, and genuine care for Australian households choosing solar.

Although we’re firmly rooted in Australia, Fronius is an Austrian company with a long heritage of engineering excellence. Moreover, every Fronius product is designed and engineered in Europe, backed by strict European data security standards that protect your home and your energy information.

Fronius inverters were already being supplied to the Australian market from around the turn of the millennium (≈2000). This means Australians were installing and using Fronius long before the official subsidiary opened in Melbourne in 2010. In short, that’s a track record we’re incredibly proud of. And just to be absolutely clear: we’re not going anywhere. 🙂
